Birthday Time Again

Well, I am officially old. I say that every year, but this year I mean it. The big TWO SEVEN! I am 27 years old today. Man, that's like 3 touchdowns and 2 field goals. It seems like only yesterday I was just touchdown with a missed extra point, 2 field goals and a safety.

For all you smarty pants out there, you are probably going to ask, "Why didn't you just say two touchdowns?". ANSWER: Because I like to do things my own way. I am Mr. Independant. I always have been. I like to take charge and do things with a Jeff twist.

Actually, I am very fortunate to be where I am today. God has provided me with a beautiful wife, an amazing family, great friends, and a sweet place to serve. I really love my youth at Oak Crest. I am very blessed. If I were to honestly claim that I am Mr. Independant, I would be committing a grevious sin of arrogance and pride. I could not be in the position that I am today without my wonderful supporting wife, without my family who raised me on strong Christian values and supported me through good and bad times, without the friends who held me accountable and challenged me, and the church families that I have been apart of that molded me and taught me in the ways of God. I especially could not be where I am without God. He is really the only reason I am alive. He created me. He provides for me. He gave me the great wife, family, friends, and churches.

I am very blessed. I am not Mr. Independant. I have needed all of you to help me get to a place where I am happy serving the Lord. I want to thank all of my family and friends who read this, and my beautiful lady Stephanie Elaine for being my partner for life.

By the way, Stephanie and I got our first house on MONDAY! We still have to close, but the deal went through. We'll put up pictures very soon!!
